Your Gift Could Change a Life

By donating this Giving Tuesday, you help kids and families gain access to the resources they need for educational success.

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity in communities around the world. It is an opportunity for people to come together to give thanks, help, donate, show kindness, and share what they have with those in need.

This year Green Street Academy is running a “Hot meals, Hot spots, and Laptops” initiative for Giving Tuesday. Green Street Academy is a tuition-free, public charter school founded in 2010 and located in West Baltimore. Serving students in grades 6-12, GSA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, chartered by the Baltimore City Public School System and open to all Baltimore City students.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our families have experienced challenges associated with food insecurity and educational access. Upon completing a community needs assessment, hot meals and technology are constant barriers for many of our families. Therefore, we are reaching out for your support Please consider donating below to this meaningful cause
