Why Dual Credit Matters

The cost of higher education continues to rise, and many students enter college unsure of expectations or overwhelmed by the transition. Dual credit helps address both challenges.

At GSA, earning college credit in high school allows scholars to:

  • Reduce future tuition costs
  • Shorten time to degree completion
  • Build confidence in college-level coursework
  • Learn how to manage syllabi, deadlines, and academic responsibility
  • Make more informed postsecondary decisions

Scholars do not just qualify for college. They arrive prepared.

What’s Next: GSA “U”

To expand access and deepen impact, Green Street Academy is launching GSA “U”, a new on-campus college classroom model designed to bring higher education directly to scholars.

GSA “U” will transform underutilized campus space into dedicated collegiate classrooms where scholars can take college courses in an environment designed to mirror higher education while remaining part of their school community.

This model allows scholars to:

  • Earn college credits earlier
  • Learn in a space designed for college-level work
  • Maintain strong academic and emotional support
  • Build confidence and professional habits before graduation

GSA “U” represents the next evolution of college access at Green Street Academy.
