Our Mission
To create a pipeline of inspired, self-reflective, and well-qualified young people who are prepared to graduate, advance their studies, build careers, and sustain themselves, their families, and their communities.
Our School
Founded in 2010, Green Street Academy is a 6-12 public charter school located in West Baltimore. Now serving 875 students annually, GSA was designed to transform how scholars prepare for college and careers in the 21st century through the lens of environmental, human, and personal economic sustainability.
Our Vision
To build an academic institution that meaningfully connects our diverse ecosystem of teachers, scholars, families, staff, trustees, volunteers, and community partners to make a positive impact in our neighborhoods and on our planet.

Celebrating Our
Second Decade of Excellence
From our humble beginnings with 127 students and 12 teachers in a neglected Southwest Baltimore school building, GSA has emerged as a powerful force in the Baltimore City public education ecosystem by building a succession of durable 21st century school-to-college and career learning initiatives for our students.
In that tradition, GSA is continuing to expand our platform with dynamic new initiatives, like the Elijah E. Cummings Innovation Center and GSA Farms. By celebrating our 10th anniversary in this way, GSA is not only honoring a decade of teachers, staff, and students whose diligence and creativity enabled us to celebrate this milestone, but also taking the next generation of actions, anticipated in our long-term strategic plan, to build even more sustainable career options and economically viable lives for our students and families in West Baltimore.
